The British boyfriend of Britney Spears has been accused of assault.
Birmingham-raised photographer Adnan Ghalib was questioned by police in Los Angeles yesterday.
He was walking along Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills with two unidentified girls when a photographer stopped to take his picture.
Ghalib didn’t want to be pictured with the girls and reportedly had an altercation with the paparazzo, whose camera equipment was damaged in the row.

He called the police, who arrived on the scene within minutes to question Ghalib and the alleged victim.
We’re told the photographer who accused Ghalib of battery later tried to withdraw the charges.
But the incident wasn’t a good move for Adnan as only hours earlier Britney’s protective father Jamie lifted his boyfriend ban and he was finally allowed visit the troubled singer.
He arrived at her house in The Summit gated community early yesterday and spent a couple of hours with her.
A source said: “Britney has been begging to see Adnan for days now and Jamie finally agreed to let him visit the house. But it was supervised and he only stayed for a couple of hours.”

Britney’s former manager Sam Lutfi is still not allowed within 15 feet of her after her father was granted a restraining order against him.
Meanwhile Britney, who arrived at the Millennium Dance Studio in LA yesterday with a face like thunder, is back at work after her time in a psychiatric ward.
She is hoping to make a comeback. We’re told: “Britney will be leaving the country in the next few weeks, after training in privacy for a month. She is planning a global tour.”
Meanwhile, Britney and Adnan are yet to comment on reports they secretly wed in Mexico last month.
America’s Star magazine reported the pair married on January 9 - just two weeks after they started dating.
If the marriage rumours are true, the nuptials would not be legal because Adnan is still married to his second wife AzLynn Berry.
